BR 02-04: Karen and the Artist

' No! ' the barman says. ' Every day you come in here. Every day you ask for food. But you never pay me! Where's your money? Give me some money, and then you can eat.' (p.5)
   Do you like the art? Who is your favorite artist?

   Karen, her job takes her to many places. Her father loves art and she loves too. When she visits Rome, she drops by small cafe. She finds many wonderful pictures in there. She asks the owner who drows these pictures, but he got angry, "Don't ask me about this artist." he says. And then the artist appear in front of them and he asks for food as usual. He doesn't money to buy food and drink so he always asking for him for free and he gave him pictures instead of money. She really likes them, she wants to help him. How can she sell it although the artist is unknown name.

   This book talks about art so, the illustrations color was really nice. If you are interested in art, you should try this one.

Rich Man,Poor Man

『Rich Man, Poor Man』      I read ”Rich Man, Poor Man" today. This book series is Macmillan Readers Beginner, YL1.4. This story is literary expressing the gap between the rich and the poor.      The old and poor man accepted a letter from his son who has been working in other country. There was check in the letter. He wanted to change into cash but he couldn't because he didn't have ID card. To get money from his son, he had to do many things; go to the central city by bus for three hours, take a picture of his face and so on. He was in trouble. Then rich man appeared. What do you think the rich man going to do for the old man???
